Prof. Dr. Dewi Yuliati MA, Become 100th Professor of Undip

Auditorium Prof. Soedharto Diponegoro University witnessed the birth of a professor of the History of Science.  Because, on Tuesday (4/8) afternoon, was held inauguration Prof. Dr. Dewi Yuliati, MA, which is highly dedicated to the field that they do this for approximately three years.

In his speech, Rector and Chairman of the Senate of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Jos Johan Utama, SH, MH, said Prof. Dewi is a centenary professor at the University of Diponegoro.

"Prof. Dewi is the hundredth professor at Undip.  Many are proposed to be a great teacher, but it turns out that God has chosen Mrs. Dewi as deemed able to carry out the mandate as a great teacher, "said Prof. Jos.

As an inaugural speech, Prof. Dewi gave the title "Industrialisasi dan Segregasi Sosial Dalam Kajian Sejarah Semarang Pada Era Kolonial 1850-1930" (Industrialization and Social Segregation In History Study of Semarang At Colonial Era 1850-1930).

Prof. Dr. Dewi Yuliati, MA, is a lecturer in the Department of History Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University since 1986.  Approximately sixteen courses she has taken.

Obtaining a bachelor's degree with a major in History, University of Diponegoro in 1984.  In 1993, she had completed studies at Leiden Universiteit S2 - University of Indonesia.  And in 2005, she earned a doctorate after completing her studies at the History Department of the University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta.

She is also involved in various research both domestically and abroad.  Among others, research in the Netherlands, bench marking in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam, the study of ancient mosques in Mataram, Lombok, and various other research.

Approximately 21 research papers, 16 papers, 30 articles and 8 books she has produced.  Even in 2014, her article entitled "Strengthening Indonesian National Identity through History - Semarang as A Maritime City: Unity in Diversity" published by the Global Journal of Human Social Science (D), Vol. 14.  In addition, she is the creator of the art of batik motif Peacock Puspa Rukmi and Samodra Amengku Negari.
